The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is
the international organization of the industrialized, market-economy
countries.
At OECD, representatives from 30 Member countries meet to exchange
information and harmonize policy with a view to maximizing economic
growth within Member countries and assisting non-Member countries
develop more rapidly.

About the OECD Washington Center:
The OECD Washington Center was set up in 1966 to market the publications
of the OECD in the United States and to serve as an information
center for the U.S. market. The Center is engaged in public outreach
activities and acts as a liaison office to the US legislative
and executive branches.
The Center is open Mondays through Fridays, 9am - 5pm. The following
services are available:
- Availability of various free documents, press releases, information
brochures, newsletters, etc.
- A library of OECD publications is open to the public. A photocopier
is available, as well as a PC for viewing of various statistical
files and making use of online resources such as OECD's public web site and SourceOECD. No appointment is necessary to visit the library.
- Advice on where to find specific OECD information.
- Conferences and briefings for the Press.
- Briefings for Student and Professional Groups.
- Videoconferences with OECD Paris Officials.
